Waters Memorial UMC welcomes Pastor Sherry S. Emerson
She is  a member of Peter’s United Methodist Church and served under the leadership of Pastor Faye A, Johnson. At Peter's, she served in many capacities in the life of the church. Such as, SPPRC vice chair, Condolence Coordinator, Worship Leader, Youth Choir director, -Voices of Inspiration; Nurturing Ministries Chair, UM Women member, Volunteer Choir member, Praise and Worship team member, Sunday School helper, and wherever she could lend support. Pastor Sherry became a Certified Lay Minister in 2013. Sherry answered the call to pastoral ministry in 2018 and is a certified candidate for local pastor. Pastor Sherry believes that we are God’s hands and feet on this earth. We are to fulfill the mission of service to God’s people and meet them where they are; to share the love of Jesus Christ and grow disciples. Her favorite scripture is Proverbs 3:5-6- “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not to thine own understanding, in all thy ways acknowledge Him and He will direct thy path.”
